Hey guys to make things easier for me I thougt it might be a good idea to ask about some feedback. Constructive critisism is always welcomed.
-Are command line programs like this okay? ( GUI maybe?)
-Is the usage easy enough? (Always trying to make things as easy as possible)
Okay at the moment I dont have any more questions in mind. However I hope to get some feedback via comment or email :).
By the way OSX LopGenerator version is now available at gitorious, big thanks to scragz for compiling it!!!

Mine's still in the special fx crate at the practice space! I gotta remember to bring it home.
ReplyDeleteyour doing great work here i keep checking back to fallow your progress.. you should always make a gui if you can it just makes it more universal and less scary for newbies if you need any graphic work for it let me know be glad to help
ReplyDeleteThe LOP generator is working great for me so far with five-second samples. It would be nice to have a switch for the input file and maybe an auto-generate output filename option.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with command line programs and you made that straightforward tutorial so it's really not too much of a barrier. Looking forward to the USB app so I can ditch this Flash trainwreck.
What do you mean with switch for input file?
ReplyDeleteAuto-generate output filename definitely goes on my to-do list.
The only problem is that I dont have much freetime at the moment.
`./LopGenerator some-sample.wav` or `./LopGenerator -i some-sample.wav`, so you can do it in one step. Not a big deal / It works fine for now. Thanks, Marbs!
ReplyDeleteJust picked up a UCreate Music Mixer yesterday for $15. It is AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to better/more useful software than was included with the product to interface with this useful toy.
Great work so far!
I will start to work at this when U-load is released.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest problem at the moment is missing free time.
Marbs, a GUI is nice but if it means delaying the release of the application, I can do without it. I can't wait to have a convenient way to upload my samples to the UCreate.
ReplyDeleteHey Marbs, this is a great project I've been praying for someone to do this. I am old and stupid and would really like a brief tutorial on using the USB uploader, also a GUI would really help out people like me who haven't got a clue about command line stuff. I've managed to download the files and unzip them but the Lop generator will not run...must be doing something wrong. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteDid you read the README files? I guess you are on windows?! Any error message?
ReplyDeleteYes I'm on windows xp service pack 2, the cli window appears for a brief moment then disappears completely. Am I supposed to do anything with the .dll file in the folder ?
ReplyDeletecheers
E
As long as the .dll file is in the same folder you dont have to do anything with the dll.
ReplyDeleteI guess you dont have .wav files in the same folder.
Because v0.4 is working without user input, just put some .wav files in the same folder, start it, done.
Do be sure, start LopGenerator via cmd.
